Dues are currently $17 per year for North
America and $24 per year elsewhere. The Application Form spells out the pro
rata amounts for joining in the middle of the year. There is also a small
initial processing fee to cover the cost of mailing Society materials to new
members. Dues can paid by a USA check in US$ funds. Dues may be sent also
to the Treasurer via PayPal for members residing outside of the USA. The

US$1 to your payment to cover PayPal fees.
IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Due to a recent change in the By-Laws, the Board is being expanded with
the addition of 2 Directors, one each with terms expiring 2010 and 2012.
Any Member of SAS/O can nominate themselves to fill one of these positions.
Members outside of the USA are encouraged to apply (most meetings are by
email). Send a brief statement to President Bob Stein eaoa@roadrunner.com
by 1 December 2008 if you would like the Board to consider your nomination.
The Board will consider all nominations and make its choices by 31 December
2008.
